Dr. Michelle Mao is AZcare's Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, leading AI strategy, platform architecture, and technology development. A machine learning scientist and entrepreneur, she has spent more than a decade building production AI systems that power real-world applications, from embedded devices to enterprise platforms serving millions of users.

Dr. Mao earned her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Utah and her M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.

She began her deep learning career in 2014 as a founding member of Cadence Design Systems' AI research team, developing efficient AI for embedded and real-world applications. In 2017, she co-founded BabbleLabs, where she helped develop industry-leading speech enhancement technology. Following BabbleLabs' acquisition by Cisco in 2020, she led the BabbleLabs AI team within Cisco's Collaboration organization, delivering advanced audio AI innovations for Webex used by millions worldwide.

In 2026, Dr. Mao co-founded AZcare to help redefine how AI interacts with the physical world. She leads the development of intelligent AI agents that understand user intent, navigate real-world conversations, and autonomously complete complex tasks, bringing AI beyond conversation and into execution.
